Someone Like You lyrics

Adele

I heard
That you're settled down
That you
Found a girl
And you're
Married now

I heard

That your dreams came true
I guess she gave you things
I didn't give to you

Old friend, why are you so shy?

It ain't like you to hold back or hide from the lie.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited,

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it,
I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,

Never mind, I'll find someone like you,

I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead, yeah,

You know how the time flies,

Only yesterday was the time of our lives,
We were born and raised in a summer haze,
Bound by the surprise of our glory days,

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited,

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it,
I had hoped you'd see my face,
And that you'd be reminded that for me it isn't over,

Never mind, I'll find someone like you,

I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"

Nothing compares,

No worries or cares,
Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made,
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?

Nevermind, I'll find someone like you,

I wish nothing but the best for you,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"

Nevermind, I'll find someone like you,

I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead.

Shirley Temple - Come and Get Your Happiness

Why are grown up peoples faces
Wrinkled like a lot of prunes
Money money that's what chases them
Around like crazy loon's
I think they make a big mistake
Wealth and happiness that counts
Are free to all in large amounts

There's millions worth of golden sunbeams

That everybody can possess
All Gods children got success
Come and get your happiness

There's billions worth of silver moonbeams

Enough for everyone I guess
What's a million more or less
Come and get your happiness

Among the wildwood of your happy childhood

Where you were Jill's and Jack
In raggy britches there's a lot of riches
On which you don't pay any income tax

So get under their blue heaven

Away from trouble and distress
Just find Mother Nature's address
And come and get your happiness

Shirley Temple - You Gotta Smile To Be Happy

Shirley Temple - You Gotta Smile To Be Happy

 Shirley Temple lyrics :

If something may upset you
Don't ever let it get you down
Don't wear a frown
If fortune should forsake you
Don't ever let it make you sigh
Keep shooting high.
Be a crooner, not a groaner, never kick
Here's a spelling lesson that will do the trick
You've got to S-M-I-L-E
To be H-A-Double-P-Y
Keep it in mind when you're blue
It's easy to spell and just as easy to do
You gotta S-M-I-L-E
It's gonna help considerably.
Just keep your chin up and give it a try
And you'll find silver lined clouds in the sky
You've gotta S-M-I-L-E
To be H-A-Double-P-Y
Ladies and gentlemen, just for fun
I'd like to sing this song again
The way it would be done, by...
Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, and last but not least
That swingable pair: Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire
You've gotta S-M-I-L-E, Oh like the birdies,
Birdies birdies up in the trees..
Pretty flowers, April showers, my Mammy
Life is divine at a quarter to nine
You've simply gotta S-M-I-L-E
'Cos Potatoes are cheaper you see
I won't spend a nickel
I won't spend a sou
I just want to spend one hour with you
(kiss)(kiss)(kiss) S-M-I-L-E
Parkyakarkus with Ida, Mammy

Shirley Temple Black (born April 23, 1928), born Shirley Jane Temple, is an American film and television actress, singer, dancer, autobiographer, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. She began her film career in 1932 at the age of four (thought by the public to be three)[citation needed], and in 1934, skyrocketed to superstardom in Bright Eyes, a feature film designed specifically for her talents. She received a special Juvenile Academy Award in February 1935, and film hits such as Curly Top and Heidi followed year after year during the mid-to-late 1930s. Licensed merchandise that capitalized on her wholesome image included dolls, dishes, and clothing. Her box office popularity waned as she reached adolescence, and she left the film industry at the age of 12 to attend high school. She appeared in a few films of varying quality in her mid-to-late teens, and retired completely from films in 1950 at the age of 22. She was the top box-office draw four years in a row (1935–38) in a Motion Picture Herald poll.
Temple returned to show business in 1958 with a two-season television anthology series of fairy tale adaptations. She made guest appearances on various television shows in the early 1960s and filmed a sitcom pilot that was never released. She sat on the boards of many corporations and organizations including The Walt Disney Company, Del Monte Foods, and the National Wildlife Federation. In 1967, she ran unsuccessfully for United States Congress, and was appointed United States Ambassador to Ghana in 1974 and to Czechoslovakia in 1989. In 1988, she published her autobiography, Child Star. Temple is the recipient of many awards and honors including Kennedy Center Honors and a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award.

Firework Lyrics Katy Perry

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again? Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?
Do you ever feel already buried deep? Six feet under screams, but no one seems to hear a thing Do you know that there's still a chance for you 'Cause there's a spark in you?
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine Just own the night like the 4th of July
'Cause baby, you're a firework Come on, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you're a firework Come on, let your colors burst Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh You're gonna leave 'em falling down
You don't have to feel like a waste of space You're original, cannot be replaced If you only knew what the future holds After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow And when it's time, you'll know
You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine Just own the night like the 4th of July
'Cause baby you're a firework Come on, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you're a firework Come on, let your colors burst Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh You're gonna leave 'em falling down
Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon It's always been inside of you, you, you And now it's time to let it through
'Cause baby you're a firework Come on, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh As you shoot across the sky
Baby, you're a firework Come on, let your colors burst Make 'em go, oh, oh, oh You're gonna leave 'em falling down
Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon Boom, boom, boom Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Elizabeth Marvelly to Sing the New Zealand National Anthem for Warriors

The New Zealand singing sensation Elizabeth Marvelly is delighted to be named to sing the New Zealand National Anthem for the Warriors when they take on Manly in the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final this weekend in Sydney. Elizabeth - fresh from singing the anthem at this year's Bled sloe Cup matches and named to sing at one of the Rugby World Cup semi final matches - will perform for a sold-out crowd at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Sunday.

Kiwi songstress, described by Prime Minister John Key as a 'national treasure' and whose recent album Home enjoyed a Top 10 chart position, says "It's always an honor to sing for the Warriors and to represent my country". "I feel hugely honored to be asked by the Warriors to sing for them on Sunday. The fire and the passion of the team and all of their supporters is incredibly inspiring and I'll do my best to sing it out loud for them! Go boys!"

Elizabeth is used to performing in front of large crowds. It began when she was just 16 and taken to the national stage by her uncle, the late Sir Howard Morrison. Then came her debut album and an Australasian and European tour with Britain's Got Talent opera phenomenon Paul Potts.

She performed to crowds numbering in the millions at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House; Elizabeth Marvelly's musical life has been a wonderful ride. Earlier this year she enlisted a small army of artists and friends to stage a charity event to help raise money for the NZ Red Cross Earthquake Appeal.

'To Christchurch with Love', featuring Paul Potts, the NZSO and other best loved New Zealand artists, raised in excess of $115,000 for the Appeal. Elizabeth has also donated a percentage of her record sales profits to the NZ Red Cross Earthquake Appeal. An added highlight of 2011 has been a critically acclaimed Headline tour through New Zealand with the NZSO.

Dizzee Rascal Plans to Recording Tracks for New Album

Dizzee Rascal, original name Dylan Kwabena Mills is a Ghanaian British rapper, songwriter and record producer. He plans to go on hiatus until next year 2012 is in tatters - the British rapper has been recording tracks for a new album in the US. His music is a blend of garage, hip hop, grime, raga, pop and electronic music, with eclectic samples and more exotic styles.

The Bonkers hit maker told earlier this year how he was putting his career on hold to "kick back (and) recharge my batteries" after working solidly since shooting to fame in 2003. But the hard-working hip-hop star tells rock magazine Q he has already abandoned his plans to take it easy - he has been jetting between America and his native UK recording new collaborations with various fellow musicians.

"I'm not supposed to be making an album right now, but I just don't stop," he says. "I've not been doing it in designated blocks; I've just been spending a lot of time in Miami and other places working with people. A lot of these people, you've got to go where they are and grab them whenever they're free."
